Buying a shade cloth: To measure is to know
A shade cloth is measured from attachment point to attachment point. Please note: all sides of a quality shade cloth are hollow (concave) cut. As a result, a cloth in the middle stretches slightly inwards to get a nice tight cloth. You will lose about 10% in the middle of each side. We have made an extensive manual, which can be found at www.4goodz.nl/shadeclothmontage. For clarification, you see a drawing with the gross and net dimensions of a canvas 400×400 cm in the photos. With other cloths you can keep the same size ratio.
